On October 18, 2006, the Naugatuck Historical Societ held their Annual Meeting/Dinner.

The featured speaker was Dr. Robert Thorson speaking on Stone Walls of New England .

Dr. Robert Thorson, Professor of Geology at University of Connecticut will offered a slide presentation on the history of stone walls in New England. He referenced local stonewalls and expanded on how stone walls enter into history, art, literature and science.
Professor Thorson is the author of Stone By Stone: The Magnificent History in New England's Stone Walls.
